Shelburne Museum in the Winter

SS Ticonderoga

For years, I've always loved visiting Shelburne Museum during the Spring and Summer months. When the lilacs bloom in early Spring, a walk around the museum grounds are a must. Not too long ago, I was fortunate enough to own a home directly across Rte 7 from Shelburne Museum. Complete with a panoramic view of the Adirondacks and the red, round barn of the museum in the distance.

I often took a break from my work to go for a walk along the museum grounds and get a little exercise and fresh air. The annual membership to Shelburne Museum, made frequent visits both affordable and convenient. I have taken hundreds of photos and videos at the museum, during some of the most gorgeous seasons…except winter.

This year, 2015, I finally got my chance to add some photos of Shelburne Museum in the winter to my collection. Here they are for you to enjoy. It was a beautiful but frigid day on the museum grounds. After walking the same path, so many times over the years, I have to say that finally having the opportunity to stroll the snow covered grounds was a bit surreal. Hope you enjoy the photos. Comments are welcome!
