The Vermont summer of 2014 was probably as close to perfect as the season gets. Warm days and warm nights but nothing to scorching hot. Just the right amount of rain coming at perfect intervals. Beautiful sunsets were plentiful this summer and some days were delightfully crisp and cool. There is nothing like a hike on a quiet summer day in the Green Mountains or sitting on a beach. We found some lesser known walks in the woods that were peaceful, with cool breezes and nothing but the sounds of birds. Let’s hope for an equally fantastic fall foliage season as a finale. With conditions as great as they were this summer, the colors of autumn are usually spectacular.
